Is my DVD Genuine?

A genuine DVD:

  • Cannot be bought from fly pitchers, street sellers, or door to door sales persons.
  • Will, in most circumstances, not be sold from open air markets, car boot sales or from dubious looking websites or online auctions. Remember if it seems too cheap to be true – it is probably a pirate copy!
  • Will have a film company hologram on the inner sleeve.
  • Will be BBFC classified, i.e. PG, 12 etc. Remember:
  • You will not be able to purchase a DVD of a film that is not yet released in UK cinemas OR
  •  a DVD of a new release film that is currently showing in UK cinemas.
