FACT attended the Investment Migration Forum 2026 in Paris, where our Due Diligence Manager, Natalie Smith, joined industry peers to exchange insights on the evolving investment migration landscape.
The forum provided a valuable platform for networking and knowledge-sharing, bringing together global stakeholders to explore both regional opportunities and sector-wide challenges.
Discussions covered a broad range of topics shaping the future of the industry. Key themes included:
Raising the bar on due diligence
FACT contributed to the IM Due Diligence CoP panel on the White Paper “Elevating Due Diligence in Investment Migration”, which emphasised:
- Ensuring that verification techniques are robust and mindful of jurisdictional specifics.
- Treating the four pillars of due diligence as equally critical components
- Strengthening transparency in methodology and decision-making
- Reinforcing the importance of contextual analysis, human-led interviews, and intelligence-led risk assessments as core elements of the due diligence process
Jurisdictional Dynamics
Representatives from around the world came together to discuss shared challenges and opportunities. The discussions highlighted how jurisdictional dynamics and programme sustainability are being shaped by a range of factors, including shifts in investor motivations, regional instability, and evolving local legislation.
Global Mobility Trends
Participants explored how current US political developments are influencing immigration flows and investor behaviour. Caribbean stakeholders also shared perspectives on the introduction of a central regulatory authority, and its implications for trust, sovereignty, and the future of CBI programmes.
A central theme was the need for greater consistency and shared standards across the industry, with transparency emerging as a key area requiring stronger alignment.
Natalie emphasised the importance of harmonising how due diligence providers assess risk, advocating for clearer frameworks to support more consistent and defensible outcomes across jurisdictions.
As the investment migration sector continues to evolve, these discussions reinforce the importance of robust, transparent, and intelligence-led due diligence in safeguarding the integrity and long-term sustainability of investment migration programmes worldwide. FACT remains committed to delivering due diligence that is intelligence-led and people-centred.
